Notice of Candidate Filing

Notice is hereby given that the General Election will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2026 to elect the following city officers: one (1) Mayor for a two-year term, two (2) Aldermen At-Large each for a two-year term. The first day to file a Declaration of Candidacy is Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 8am and ends Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 5pm.
At the time of filing for office, candidates are required to present MO DOR Form 5120 (Candidate’s Affidavit of Tax Payments and Bonding Requirements) or the MO DOR receipt verifying the form has been submitted and candidate is not delinquent on state income tax, personal property tax, municipal tax or real property tax with the Missouri Department of Revenue in order to comply with RSMo 115.306.2(2). Form 5120 is available on the Department of Revenue’s website at http://dor.mo.gov/forms/5120.pdf.
Declarations of candidacy may be filed with the City Clerk, 100 Short Street, Dearborn, Missouri. Filing hours are: Tuesday, December 9, 2025 8am to 3:30pm, Monday – Friday 9:30am to 4:30pm and Tuesday, December 31, 2025, 9:30am to 5pm.
