Exciting Improvements Coming to Vaughn Park!

You may have noticed some changes happening at Vaughn Park!
The City of Dearborn was awarded an $87,056 Outreach Grant from Platte County Parks & Recreation to help build a new shelter with restrooms at Vaughn Park.
Work on the project has begun with the removal of the old shelter and outdated and broken playground equipment. The new shelter and restrooms will be a welcome improvement to the park and provide a better space for families, gatherings, and community activities.
And we haven't forgotten about the playground! The City is pursuing additional grant funding to replace the playground equipment. While that funding has not yet been awarded, we are hopeful and will share more information as it becomes available.
We’re excited to see these improvements begin and appreciate everyone’s patience while work is underway. We’ll continue to share updates as the Vaughn Park projects move forward.
